AIRCRAFT OBSERVATIONS Companies specifically specialized in meteorological systems for use on aircraft are not known to us. The sensors of Buck Research for Humidity and Kipp & Zonen for radiation have a proven record for using on board airplanes. A large variety of radiometers with a large spectral resolution can be offered by ASDI and Hovermere (wavelength meters and Fabry Perot interferometers.) Major requirements: well defined temperature dependence, resistance to thermal shock and pressure shock, wide pressure range and water resistance. |
